Here is a job that just left today. It's an 11ft dump bed with a PTO drive hydraulic pump, drop down sides, double acting rear gate, underbody box, and chain basket. The truck really turned out great! Driver's side profile view of the truck and body. The customer needed storage for items that needed to be out of the weather and he wanted a place to hang chains with ease of access. We paired them up with an underbody box on the driver's side and a chain basket on the passenger side. The underbody box is lockable and weather resistant and the the chain basket provides ease of access and no pooling of water for chains. Here is a view of the rear skirt, LED stop/tail/turn/backup lights, and 7-way socket. The customer is going to be pulling some large loads so we reinforce this hitch to handle their needs. To operate the PTO the engine is started and the Chevy factory PTO button in the center of the dash, shown in the first picture, is pressed. When the button is pressed the engine will automatically idle up and the light on the console shown in the second picture will activate. The bed is then raised or lowered with the up/down toggle button in the third picture. Thanks again for checking out the post! Feel free to give us a call about your truck idea!

Here is a job we just finished! It is a Reading Crane Master Body. We also installed a work bench bumper, Palfinger Crane PSC 3216 Crane, work bench bumper, manual out-riggers, Vmac G30 air compressor, auxiliary work lighting, drawer unit, and a few hose and welding cable reels. Here is a view of the driver's side showing the location of the Vmac G30 Rotory screw air compressor(top left), Ctech drawer unit(bottom left), welding reels(top center), and the rear hose reel/air regulator(right). The Vmac G30 is a rotory screw air compressor that is capable of producing 30CFM at 100psi. This compressor has optional triple 4 gallon tanks which gives a total of 12 gallons. The tanks are nice for some extra burst capacity but the G30 will still produce 30CFM at 100psi with a 100% duty cycle! The Reelcraft cable reels are mounted half way down the body. One reel is a grounding cable and the other reel supplies a welding lead. Each reel is capable of reaching 50ft. The customer has a used welder that they are planning to install behind these reels. The hose reel is located in the top of the rear driver's side compartment. The filter/water separator/regulator/lubricator is located just beneath the reel. The reel empties out on the back of the body were it can easily be pulled out up to 25ft. The workbench bumper is not only a bumper that provides a flat surface, it also has internal storage for longer tools. This customer had a large piece of machinery that they were wanting to pull so we reinforce this hitch to handle his load! Here's view of the Palfinger Crane PSC 3216 Crane. This Crane is electric over hydraulic and has a 3200lbs capacity. It is power up/down, in/out, angle, and rotation. The remote is wireless push button(show in the pic on the right). This is a very smooth running crane! As always, thanks for checking out the post!
We just finished this flatbed up! This is a Hillsboro, 8ft, steel flatbed with a drop down side option. The bed is mounted on a Ford, F350, that had a pickup bed on it originally. All Hillsboro steel flat beds come standard with a goose neck ball hitch built into the bed and a rear hitch to accommodate bumper pull style trailers. This bed has LED stop/tail/turn/ backup lights with additional lights in the bulk head of the bed. Thanks for checking out the post!
Here is a service body we just finished up for a local general contractor. The truck is a used Ram 2500. We removed the pickup bed and installed an steel, Classic II, service body. We painted the paint gray metallic to match the truck cab. We intentionally made the interior of the body white to make it brighter and easier to locate items. All Reading Classic II bodies come standard with hidden hinges and gas props. The hidden hinges are a patented hinge that is all internal. There are no rust points and the hinge is stored out of the weather. Gas props offer resistance to the wind bowing your doors shut and do it in quietly controlled matter. This is a view of the side of the truck. The clear coat on a dark color really makes nice reflection. Here is a view of the back with the backup camera and backup sensors in the bumper. Thanks for checking out the post!
We finished this job last week for a local customer. This customer has heavy flooring equipment that he needs to load and unload on a regular basis. The matching aluminum van body with stainless steel corners, the aluminum liftgate, and the fiberglass nose cone help create a professional image in the field! We set this customer up with a Maxon, 3,300lbs capacity, aluminum liftgate and a large liftgate platform. This gives them ample room load/drive their equipment on an off safely and the capacity to lift large loads. In addition, the aluminum platform will continue to provide a great image for many years to come! The inside of the van body is lined with plywood with two rows of "E" track for ease of load securing. The bottom 10.5" of the wall is lined with Apitong hardwood to handle the normal skids and bumps of being used. Additional galvanized steel plate behind and above the hardwood in the front of the body gives added protection. The floor is our standard 1.125" laminated hardwood and the rear few feet is overlaid with 1/8" steel. Fiberglass nose cones are a huge fuel savings over the life of a truck. Light weight and corrosion resistant, nose cones allow the wind to slide around the truck in more laminar flow. This results in less resistance and directly influences vehicle mileage! Thanks for checking out the post! We would love to help you with your next truck project!
Here is a custom rack we built for Caterpillar Inc. This truck will be base for test equipment. It's always fun to do something new and working with Caterpillar Engineering to get an exact fit was enjoyable! A view of the front of the truck. The rack is tied into the truck frame through the tow hook mounts. Thanks for checking out the post!
Here is a job we just finished for Avanti's Ristorante. Avanti's is a growing local restaurant company that started in Peoria. They serve Italian food and make all the dough and sauce fresh at their commissary in Peoria! The same day the dough is made, it its placed on trays and carts and transported to the restaurants. This allows the dough to be baked into bread the same day it is consumed! This truck and reefer unit ensure the new dough stays at the exact needed temperature while it travels to the restaurants. Here is a view of the Thermo King freezer unit located on the front top of the body. This is the system that does all the work of keeping the proper temperature inside the insulated van body. The diesel driven freezer unit is tied directly into the chassis fuel system so there is only one tank. The inside of the reefer is lined with fiberglass so it can easily be cleaned. The bottom 16" of the walls have aluminum scuff that is welded solid to the floor and attached into the walls. This body has 3 rows of "E" track that facilitates securing the carts of dough. Up in the top middle of the body is where the Thermo King Reefer unit is located and the cold air is blown out into the body. The carts of dough are loaded and unloaded via liftgate. On this truck we paired them with a Palfinger 3000lb rail gate. Rail gates are generally built for longer life with higher cycles. This gate will be used dozens of cycles every day for 363 days/year! The aluminum platform automatically folds out and has dual cart stops that flip up with the bump of the operator's foot. This allows carts to be rolled on freely and then secures them during the lifting process. Thanks for checking us out and feel free to contact us with questions about the post or if you need information on setting up your refrigerated or freezer body!
Here is a Reading 11ft service body and ladder rack that we just finished! This body is mounted on a 2019 F450 cab chassis. The package also included a 20,000lbs hitch and master locking. The full length ladder rack is designed for hauling large garage doors. This rack has 3 removable bars over the cargo area of the bed. This body has a master locking option. This allows the operator to just push the slide in the top right of the picture and the entire side pack is secured. Thanks for checking out the post! Feel free to contact us for more info on this unit or one you need setup.
We just finished up 3 landscaper bodies for the team at Wild Ridge Landscapes! These bodies are tall sided dump bodies with double swing doors at the rear and a single swing door on the passenger side front. The bodies have 1/4 cab protectors designed to accommodate a manual or automatic tarp system. Built for long term use, the floor of the body is build with 10GA hot rolled steel with 16" cross members and the sides are 12GA hot rolled steel. Here is a veiw of the double swing doors in the rear and the hitch. We created a rear hitch setup that is designed for 18,000lbs of towing capacity and also incorporates a backup camera. The rear swing doors are latched shut with cam lock style door action for security. A large side door on these bodies is designed to accommodate a pallet so if landscapers are laying pavers or bricks or even planting trees they have plenty of room to work and lots of access. All the doors on the body latch open in case the user needs to travel with the doors open. Thanks again for checking out the post! Feel free to send us a message or check out Wild Ridge in Indianapolis, IN below!
We just finished up this unique job! It's a Ford Transit, 1 ton, cab chassis that we paired with a flat bed and stake sides. The bed on this van is a little lower than waist high which makes for easy loading and unloading. A view of the rear including the backup camera, ICC bumper, and mud flaps. The stake sides all are removable. These sides remove by lifting them out of stake pockets around the perimeter of the bed. Once the sections are placed in the pockets they all latch into each other with a "quick-latch" mechanism. This helps insure they stay where they belong! Thanks for looking! Feel free to give us a call or a comment if you have any questions about a project you would like to put to together.
