After looking through our blog it looks like we should have some posts on van equipment! Here is a small fleet of vans we just completed. Upon reviewing the options, customer wanted Weatherguard van shelving, bulkheads/partitions, and ladder racks. We installed this equipment on the customers Ford Transit 350s. A view of the final product installed and ready for work. Here is a view of the bulkhead/partition. Like most van equipment, there are lots of options with bulkheads/partitions. This one is a steel partition with perforations so the driver can see into the rear cargo area. Some of the other options include, solid steel, aluminum, composite, windows, no door, hinging door, or sliding door or almost any other configuration that you can think up. The main thing is that you have one in your work van. In a crash, a bulkhead could likely be the only thing between you and a reciprocating saw traveling 50mph. The customer needed some added security to protect their equipment. We paired these vans with "puck" style maximum security locks. These locks have brackets which are secured to each door. When the doors are shut these brackets are aligned, the "puck" is manually nested over them, and a locking pin goes through the holes in the brackets. This is a great solution to take your van to the next level of security! When it comes to ladder racks, there are so many options. I'll do some posts later showcasing some of them. However, these racks are basic 3 bar ladder racks. There is nothing fancy about them but they are very functional. They are very safe way to transport your long ladders and equipment at a lower price point! Thanks again for looking. If it hasn't been said too many times in this post already, there are lots and lot of options when it comes to van equipment! Feel free to give us a call or leave a comment if you have questions. We would love to help you customize your van!

Here is a neat job we finished up. This Reading 132 Cranebody is mounted on an Ford F550 and paired with an Auto Crane. The driver's side of this body has a flip top lid that provides great storage for smaller parts. We put a recessed bumper on this truck which provides easier access to your hitch. This body has two large front compartments that are set up for gas tank storage. The compartments are also vented to prevent a buildup of gas should there be a leak. As a note, all Reading bodies come powder coated inside and out. This provides a nice, clean, and durable finish were you store your tools. Thanks for looking! Feel free to give us a call and we will be glad to help you get setup for your business!
Here's a unique job that we finished a week or so ago! The customer wanted a hoist installed on his military style truck. We haven't installed many hoists on military trucks so this was a fun truck to work on! Here are a few closeups of the attachment points for the hinge and the hoist. We also utilized an apitong wood shim which the bed locates on in down position. This truck has a 24 volt electrical system which we utilized for a electric/hydraulic hoist power unit. Drop a comment. Thanks for checking us out!
